We bought this unit 5 years ago and generally like it but the water dispenser drips for a second after you pull you glass away and the compressor went out after 5 years but was replaced at a low cost. I would give the refrigerator an average rating.

I have owned this refrigerator for just over 4 years and I am not impressed. Last year I had to wait 3 months to get the compressor replaced. Now the defrost system has stopped working and someone from LG was supposed to call me and let me know what my options are. I have been waiting for a couple of weeks now.

I absolutely love my side by side with the built-in door. Other than the compressor issue I have not had any other issues. I would purchase another built-in door fridge.

The third door was a feature em we really enjoyed. But the ice maker would stop making ice periodically when it was low on ice. And the compressor died less than four years old.
LG team did a good job of trying to repair it three times but ended up prorating the fridge and buying it back.

Weve owned this piece of junk for almost five years and have had trouble from the beginning. Recently the defroster heater went bad and a local repairman found a huge crack in the back of the freezer cabinet which had metallic tape over it in an attempt to repair it. Since no other repairs had ever been made to the freezer it was evident that an attempt to repair the crack had been made at the factory. This was not a factory defect it was factory DECEIT Dont buy LG They dont stand behind their products.

I bought LG fridg. From a local Lowes store
Six years later the compressor went out
Called LG service center they told me that the compressor is sill under warranty.
They gave me names and phone numbers for six different repair shops in the my area and they all refused to work on doing any warranty for LG .

I like this fridge it is good for the price just be careful not to pinch your hands when shutting it as this can happen between the two sides. My favorite feature is the ice machine. There are cubed and crushed ice and also another option to make ice balls which keeps your drink cold. The water dispenser also has a UV feature which is great. The only thing I would say is there is no tray so if your cup isnt positioned properly you will end up with ice on your floor The inside of the refrigerator is great because of the smaller door option and the sides allow drink storage like mills and larger options in the side door which makes it very family friendly. So far we are really enjoying this fridge and hope it lasts longer than the previous LG fridge when the compressor broke after about 8 years. However we really do enjoy the LG products and the price for this was reasonable for what you get. Overall I would recommend

Weve had this for four years. During this time.it had to be repaired 3 times. Last they said that it could not be repaired bc of a leak in the system. Good luck trying to work with LG or Lowes. Lots of clerical requirements dropping the ball multiple times. Ice maker never worked well low volume even on Ice Plus setting door in door didnt always close conpletely unless you pushed hard on it.

This refrigerator worked fine for about 8 months then didnt. Now it runs cool but not cold. This review is about LGs reluctance to replace a defective product. By now 5 months and 3 repairs later Im sure LG and Lowes have spent more than the retail cost of this unit avoiding the truth that its defective.

I have had this fridge for 6 yrs the compressor went out
the thing lasted 4 yrs longer than most per tech.
The repair was free basicly I got another 6 years I hope longer than that
The 3rd door is great so I dont have to open it all the way
I would have been heart broken to think I paid what I did only got 6 yrs out of it

Bought 2 years ago Broke twice on us. Sad to see it go. I love the half door style that why we bought it. I would buy another half door style fridge again. Its nice not to go inside the whole fridge when you only need something from the half door Its was nice and large enough for my family of 5. I lived to shop too

Bought in Oct. 2019 with a 3 year extended warranty and performed flawlessly until the compressor gave out earlier this month 3 days after the warranty. There was a week difference in purchase date and delivery date which Lowes has printed in their warranty booklet but stated that it didnt matter and to contact LG. Thankfully LG stood by their product and a new compressor was installed as if still under warranty.

This refrigerator came with the house that I bought. It was probably purchased new in 2015 and I moved into the house in December 2020. The linear compressor died after only ~10 months but fortunately LG extended their warranty program and the parts were covered for repair labor unfortunately was not. It is running like new and I hope to get many more years out of it.
The design of the unit itself is great and it runs quiet. I LOVE the door-in-a-door design. It makes it very quick and more energy-efficient to quickly grab a soda or condiment. The inside normal compartments are all great. The water and ice dispensation are also great.

I would never recommend buying an lg fridge to even my worst enemy. Fridge is less than 4 years old and the compressors went. I was on the phone with customer service nearly everyday for them to not repair it for 2 months. The repair guy was waiting on lg to send them the parts.

Now 4 1/2 years old the compressor has gone out 2 within a 9 month period. First time we were able to reset ourselves however we recently had the compressor replaced. Lost food both occurrences. With that said LG repaired at no cost. Like door-in-door feature.

Very nice fridge except as we learned the compressors are crap. After 6 years both the fridge and freezer compressors went out at the same time. Dealing with LG is also a nightmare. The representatives speak vaguely and dont seem to really care. Every time we need to get something done they take 3 days to get an authorization letter to get work done or order parts etc. Meanwhile no cold drinks in the summer no fresh food to cook and now they are talking weeks for the parts to be delivered. Only saving grace it was still under warranty. Will not buy an LG again.

Worst fridge I ever got. It breaks down every few months and spoils all my food.. I saved to buy this LG fridge and its been a disappointment. LG will not service fridge in my area so no one can fix it when it breaks down and I cant afford another one after the pandemic So I have a fridge when ever it wants to work. Im so disappointed.

My refrigerator what is but in November 2015. In February 2019 the condenser when it and you very nicely replaced it for free. August 2021 the condenser one again. Could not get an LG factory rep to come out because you were too busy and youre authorized service dealer couldnt come out for 10 days and told me it would probably be between 800 and 1100 to replace the cat condenser. What was a to do. When I put more money into And already failed condenser twice. No I decided to just buy a new refrigerator which I did. I am sure that you can tell I am very disappointed in your company.

I bought a refrigerator in 2019. It quit working last year while under an extended warranty. It was originally diagnosed with a bad compressor but when a new compressor arrived the machine was working. Last month the machine stopped working again. The warranty had expired by two weeks. It was diagnosed with a failed compressor. I spoke with an LG representative who was very professional and they replaced the compressor without charge

Bought 12-2016 Compressor went out 7-2021Sent repair man within 2 days and said compressor was out and part would be sent to the house in 7 days and would come back to fix.Part was delivered next day but said they could not come to install for 7 days after calling several times and going to buy a small fridge for insulin and Mike and a few things for grandchild we lost everything in fridge and freezer they approved use for a refund of 200.00 for lost food.about 20 of what was lost but we did finally get fixed.Customer Service was polite and I suppose do all they could in situation.Just be prepared for alternative options to store food in case of failure
I am thankful the warranty though.

My LG refrigerator is about 5 and a half years old and recently had to be serviced due to not cooling. The repair person was efficient and solved the problem. The refrigerator is a good size and has easy to see into the shelves as well as the door in door view which is a great asset.

After 4.5 years the compressor died. As there is a 5-year warranty on the compressor LG scheduled a service call. The technician was polite and professional. He completed the work within a reasonable time. This refrigerator always sounded like a freight train running through my kitchen and vibrated enough to move the dishes and glasses in the adjacent cupboard. I was told by both LG and ABT that noise and vibration were normal. Obviously that was not the case

This refrigerator was purchased about 3 years ago and I just replaced it for another brand. The compressor failed. I lost all my frozen food and LG was unable to get it repaired even though the compressor has a 10 year warranty. It was trashed and hauled away..

First time buyer LG appliance. Ive not been disappointed. I really use the outside door feature where I dont have to open the entire door to get an item. Its a great place for condiments soft drinks. Plenty of room in both refrigerator and freezer with adjustable shelves.
