The refrigerator is a good size and very functional. Unfortunately in less than 2 years the compressor went out and we had to have it replaced. We are still waiting to ensure it is under warranty to see if we will be reimbursed the money it cost us to have it fixed.

Ive owned this refrigerator for five years. The ice cube maker has failed and Ill have to buy a new one if I want ice cubes.
The compressor just failed. The part was still under warranty and to LGs credit they provided a courtesy one time free labor. That still didnt fully compensate for the time spent trying to salvage food and using coolers with ice as a refrigerator. Not to mention the food that was lost.
Also owned an LG TV that failed in less than two years.
I dont think that LG products will be anywhere in my future.

In the almost 3 years we have owned this refrigerator we have had 2 service calls. The last one being over 2 weeks ago when it was diagnosed with a broken compressor. Stll waiting for LG to send someone to repair it. We did not know this refrigerator and several made by LG have had major problems. LG was aware the compressors were no good in these refrigerators and chose to wait for them to break down before doing anything about it. My husband and I over 60 have been without our refrigerator for over 2 weeks. Is anyone reading this???? No. Life is Not Good....without a running refrigerator. Oh I didnt even mention all the spoiled food we has to throw out

This fridge is amazing. I have never NOT been able to find more space to put something else in it. I entertain family a lot and always have enough room for everything I love the drawers and shelves and love how the shelves slide back for taller bottles. It is super easy to clean too. Everything comes out easily and goes back in easily.
So the downside...ice maker is VERY slow to refresh. Dont count on it to make enough for anything other than an ice bucket or to fill glasses. But that isnt a big deal.
The worst part is that after only 4 years and 2 months the whole cooling system failed. LG has to fix it and fortunately it is younger enough that they will fix for free. But it takes a while for parts to come in and schedule the 3 1/2 hour repair job. Luckily the store that I bought it Abt Electronics gives a free loaner.
I am eager to have my fridge back but Im worried that this will happen again in 4 years and then it will cost me a lot to fix it.

Fridge looks great. Has some cool feature which we use like the mini glass door for quick access. Unfortunately we needed to get it repaired so having no fridge for 3+ weeks isnt ideal. Digging deeper reliability appears to be an issue and honestly we are stressing that it could go at any minute again now. It did work great for the last 6 months but Im worried it will be an expensive paper weight sooner rather than later. Our fingers are crossed the repairs will hold up but we have heard from others with this fridge that once it breaks its just a ticking clock to the next time it breaks.

Bought this high tech fridge less than 4 years ago. Compressor went out. Tech came out to fix but still wasnt getting cold. Tech had to come out a second time. Threw out food 2x. I do not recommend.

Bought this item on 4/7/2018 wonderful looking and easy to use. all experience were very good. However at about exact 4-years 4/8/2022 the compressor broken completely.
Called LG customer service they dispatched local repair service and have it replaced next week. To my surprise it was 100 covered by warranty. I didnt pay a single penny.
Wonderful service

3 years in and the ice maker stops working. Additionally the freezer wouldnt mai rain temperature. Luckily the warranty covered the repair and thank the stars that it did because literally every component had to be replaced. Evaporator condenser software even a door gasket. I guess the saying is true - they just dont make em like they used to.

Bought two years ago and compressor failed. Was told by three different repair companies this is the norm for LG. It was covered under warranty BUT now the appliance is loud. Same repair companies said Ill have to replace it again in a year. Also had to wait a week for repair. Lost all food.

I bought this refrigerator approximately four years ago. It has worked perfectly up until this last week. Last week the fan and the icemaker both stopped working. But because I have the extended warranty it did not cost anything for me to get it fixed. I love the functionality and spaced that this refrigerator offers me. I would recommend it to a friend with the stipulations that they also buy an extended warranty.

We have had this refrigerator about 2 years. It is the best ever. I love the capacity the great lighting and the ability to see temp. on the door. We like the door/in/door feature the icemaker is a good capacity and the cold filtered water is good.

I bought the LG refrigerator few years ago. 3 weeks ago the refrigerator broke down and stop cooling inside the fridge and inside the freezer. I already had 3 visits of their technical assistance and so far they were not able to fix the problem. The compressor was replaced the fridge evaporator was replaced parts of the electronic board were replaced and a valve for the freon gas was also replaced. After the third repair visit I have the freezer working but the fridge part is still not cooling. I would never buy another LG refrigerator. The refrigerator quality is low and the technical assistance is ineffective.

It has been in service for a year... chose this particular model and had to really work to get it...the new models were out and the only appliance place in our area is HDepot and they could not get one sent in. Finally when the floor model was put up for sale I got it...I had compared all the models and this one had what I wanted and needed and fewer new item I didnt want.
Last week the condenser went on the fritz and LG sent a gentleman out who repaired it on the spot...could not find anything else even questionable. I am so happy that I was able to keep THIS fridge.

Weve had the refridgerator for just over two years now. The wifi set up took several attempts to get it to work. It disconnects daily. Every time I want to do something with it I have to go through the whole set up process again. Every time To be fair its the exact same thing with my LG dryer. I just gave up on using the wifi feature on both.
Two months ago the fridge quit working. It was running but wasnt cooling anything. LG was really good about fixing it at no charge to me. They basically had to replace every mechanical part in it. It would have cost a furtune. Something to think about. If its going to fail within the 3 year warranty period then those that dont will probably fail shortly afterward and will set you back some cash. That of course is speculation on my part. Just basing it on my experience.
As far as the frige layout. This is a personal preferance but the bottom freezer just doesnt work for me. I hate having to stack good one on top of the other. Then having to dig through the stacks to get what you want. Again that is personal preference and not restricted to LG. I woud hate that set up and any brand fridge. A fridge with the freezer drawer was my wifes idea which she also regrets now.
I would not reccomend this refridgerator for anyone. I tihnk LG should just stick with televisions beccuase both the Fridge and dryer that I have of theirs are aweful.

We bought this refrigerator 3 years ago and were very pleased with it until the day it quit working. However thanks to LG having extended the warranty on this model it was repaired to like-new condition at no cost to us. Now were falling in love with it again. I would have given it 5 stars except for that trouble.

We bought this refrigerator 2 years ago and it is absolutely huge It can fit everything and then some Love the InstaView door in door feature also. The compressor did fail 6 months ago but LG was right on top of it. We had a licensed service person immediately come out and fixed our refrigerator with a brand new compressor no charge Awesome The only draw back which it really isnt one is that the in door ice maker is rather small which can be a problem for larger gatherings. There is a separate ice bin which can be filled and left in the freezer but sometimes this can be difficult if the freezer is at its capacity with food items. Overall a great refrigerator and would definitely purchase again Thanks LG

Our LG refrigerator quit working and for two months we tried to locate someone who could work on it without success. Thats when we decided to buy another refrigerator. Lowes only had three in stock. We picked this LG because of the features and it was the least expensive with my Military discount from Lowes. Keeps the food cold and we like having the see through glass door.

I bought this unit in July 2017 it lasted 4 years and the compresor was gone. After a replacement it continued to work for six months and then it went down again the compresor. My wife was so sad about the fact that we have to change the fridge. She love the size the look and the beauty of the design. However nowadays it seems that people only go for what they see nice but not for the durability of the product. I am sure that LG will continue to update their products for the good in ordernto make them more efficient and durable. This product and its value should have lasted at least 10 years not 4 years. Also the repair man that LG hire ld are given real bad reviews about the LG products. I think that if LG train and send new repair personnel the product would exceed the expectations.

This refrigerator just stopped working April 27th 2021. I bought it in December of 2018. It took 6 weeks to get a LG certified repair man here to look at it. The compressor was out due to the computer board not functioning anymore. They filed for parts and never heard back from LG. 4 weeks later I started my own campaign of complaints to LG through a dozen phone calls that Always ended in being disconnected after 20 mins or more on each call. I emailed with no response TILL I complained on their Facebook. I then was asked to contact them through Messenger. I was given responses frequently and given a official complaint email line for a resolution. This has been almost 3 weeks ago. Today is July 26th 2021 and I havent heard back from LG. Meantime the authorized company to service LG in my area told me 3 weeks ago they will not be working with LG anymore because of their lack of response and services.

I bought this fridge not too long ago and it has no temperature gauge on the inside which would indicate the food is spoiling. I found out over a long period that the fridge was not keeping items cool. LG has sent a tech out 4 times for repair and its still not repaired. Condenser condenser replaced and leaking pipe. Still continues to have problems

I bought this refrigerator 2 years ago and I had only headaches. This will be my 4 repair to a top of the line fridge. I read the reviews and didnt pay attention and now Im paying the price. It top of that they dont have a LG Tech in my area and basically Im stuck with this bad refrigerator for weeks. I would not recommend buying this particular fridge and LG needs to figure it out how to get more tech in our area. I dont live in a small town or the country side for them not to have techs in my area. If that is the case dont sell your products in my area.

Brand new unit with new house. failed in under 2 years LG took weeks to get back to me and then kept saying they couldnt find someone to repair. Local service company was here looking at my LG oven and told me they had 6 compressors in the van and coudl replace it real-time in warranty as they are a certified LG servicer. LG stated they still couldnt find them even though LG sent them out to fix my oven. Stay away

We have had almost every functioning part of this refrigerator replaced and they need to be replaced again. The repair guy says that he has to keep his truck stocked with parts just for LG. Extraordinarily noisy. When the fan comes on it sounds like a construction site in our kitchen. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this refrigerator.

We love the design and useful app se of space and compartments in our refrigerator. Its well thought out for good use of every part of the refrigerator or freezer. That part of the refrigerator gets a five star rating. What I dont like and this has happened to us twice now is that the compressor dies just after 2 years. Causing mass loss of food and not very reliable.

I like the size lighting and it cools well.
Things I dont like. Cant put a 2 liter bottle of soda in the door. Instead I have to use the folding shelf to put in one then its hard to get the things behind it. Very hard to keep the SS clean. Doesnt really have any exciting IoT in it. Like why cant it text me if the door isnt shut because I cant hear the beep in the yard. Why cant it tell me the current temp? Had.it.for under 3 years and the compressor failed. Would have been nice to get a text about high temp so I could have started taking action instead of losing everything on my fridge and part of the freezer. Heck even better why didnt it alert LG about the temp and send diags so they could have started scheduling up a repair. Why cant I do things remotely. Like changing temp or turn on the extra ice mode?

I have owned this refrigerator for 2 and a half years. It is very attractive looking and has all the bells and whistles.
It quit cooling about 2 weeks ago and had to have the compressor replaced which I found out is very common. Scheduling the repair was NOT a smooth process and we lost several hundred dollars worth of contents due to spoilage.
The repair tech who ultimately came to fix it seemed competent but should I expect just another 2 years of operation? I have no choice but to wait and see.....
