We liked the features but LG could not make the basic function of cooling work.
Stopped working at 3 months multiple repairs but has never worked properly since.
Warranty repair company is two hours away parts ordered wrong improper installation.
Will not maintain proper temperature goes from freezing to not cold enough.
We gave up on LG being able to fix this.

Like the refrigerator and freezer especially French doors. However there was constant condensation on the door slat that seals the doors shut. The seals eventually turned black with mildew and mold. Was told that LG knew of the problem and that this model was supposed to have a heated door slat that would eliminate the condensation and mold/mildew issue. I replaced the seals and noticed that the electrical connection behind the door slat hinge had been cut and taped over and a unheated door slat was installed while being built at the factory. Previous models of this refrigerator had an Energy Saver switch which cured the condensation issue. This one needed a heated door slat since there was no such switch. The factory did not build this refrigerator with the correct part to avoid condensation...which I am now trying to fix. It is a nice unit but ONLY if it was correctly built and has no defects that lead to a constant condensation problem. Someone at the factory messed up and I hope LG will stand behind their product.

water filling the ice maker is very loud. Sometimes the ice maker must overflow water into ice bin and all the ice is a solid chuck of ice. Otherwise satisfied with the product.

Ref. ground grinned from ist day-Repair man came spent 5 seconds turning off ice cube maaker dont have an ice makerFreezer only works on -6. Constantly moans groans. Support is mostly non-esisting. Dont ask me to rate my micro-worse review. Was advised not to purchase any more LG products

I loved my refrigerator and even recommended it to my sister who bought one. Then the compressor went out on my refrigerator and I found out how much I would have to pay to have it fixed Insanity. Very sad that this product isnt easily repaired.

The only good thing about this fridge is the set-up and style. When it was working it would freeze food on the top shelf of the fridge. Weve had it for 2 1/2 years.
It quit working 3 weeks ago we had an extended warranty but it has yet to be fixed.

I bought it in 2016. Worked fine for 5 yrs then started with an odor I could not get rid of. Smells like dead mouse but have cleaned it thoroughly inside out and air filter in as well as baking soda. Checked behind and under nothing. It has no drain pan on this model so its not that. I had a repair guy in who said he smelled a faint but but could find nothing mechanically wrong. No leaks. Nothing. So Im faced with whether I just live with it or replace it. Big expense for a phantom odor.

We bought this refrigerator because it fits perfectly in our kitchen. It looks nice and organizes our food well but it has a bad habit of freezing any food in the back top of unit where the cold air comes out. We have to be careful to not cover those vents-that is when the refrigerator is working. The biggest problem with the unit is that the linear compressor failed after less than 5 years. According to LG it is supposed to last 20 years. LG is assisting with the repairs but it will take a month to complete and there is no guarantee the new compressor will last longer.

1st LG has the date of purchase wrong. It was not 1/27/18. It was 10/27/18.
2nd 7/30/19: The right door gasket became torn was repaired by an LG technician.
Within a month it ripped again but did not call for service. see photo attached
3rd 10/4/21: Called Best Buy to fix the right door gasket once again. Also the
refrigerator started making unfamiliar sounds. Best Buy tech stated it was the fan
motor.
10/25/21: Best Buy tech replaced the fan motor.
On 1/13/20 I purchased an LG range and microwave and they appear to be functioning fine. As my 3 year plan with Best Buy is now expired and Im no longer under LGs warranty for the refrigerator I am hoping I have no more issues with the appliance as it is still very new to me. At first I was thrilled with the refrigerator but now with the issues Ive experience I am very concerned it wont last very long. I think this appliance is discontinued and probably rightfully so. We LOVED this fridge The style the convenient storage features were all pluses. Until last month just before we owned it for 3 years it stopped working. GRRR AND it took service over 10 days to come and repair it. What an inconvenience. So disappointed in this product

This was reasonably satisfactory for the first four-plus years although items occasionally became frozen in random places in the refrigerator section. Then the temperatures rose in both sections all working parts had to be replaced and now the freezer still registers around 20 degrees when set at -6. I dont think we will consider another LG refrigerator.

This LG product fits great when you have a limited area in terms of width heightand depth. The refrigerator has several shelves and the compartments on the doors adds to the storage space. Were still getting used to the freezer being at the bottom.

I had always wanted a French Door refrigerator and I finally got one when I bought this house. The previous owners put it in when they redid the kitchen before selling the house. The fridge is great has lots of space and the ice maker is the bomb.
